Businessman Austin Arthur Lands Multiple Influential Endorsements in his Orange County District 1 Commission Race

Winter Garden businessman Austin Arthur lands multiple influential endorsements for his District 1 County Commission race. Many of the endorsers are longtime residents who live and work in the district, who also reflect the cultural and political diversity of West Orange. The impressive list includes:

“Austin is a bright and vibrant community-minded leader who has been advocating for the things that make our area a wonderful place to live and spend time. He is a businessman, a promoter of the family, and a smart growth advocate. I know he will work hard for the families in District 1. He has my trust and my support,” stated Winter Garden Mayor John Rees.

“It's clear Austin has a passion for people and for our environment. His advocacy and work for Lake Apopka, Habitat for Humanity, suicide awareness and other important causes is making a positive difference in the lives of real people. As a commissioner, he’ll be the balanced voice between growth and preservation, as well as a strong collaborative partner with the cities in his district,” said Oakland Commissioner Sal Ramos.

Community organizer and Orange County Citizens Safety Task Force appointee Chloe Brunson stated, “Austin definitely ‘walks the talk.’ Time and time again, I have seen Austin giving back to the others.  He has earned my respect, the trust of the community, and I’m excited to support his candidacy. We need Austin!”

It is clear people are looking for new leadership in Orange County to bring us back to common sense and common ground. My pledge to them and to the voters of District 1 is to wake up every day with the singular goal of making West Orange and District 1 an even better place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Arthur.

Austin Arthur is a business owner, an employer, and a former firefighter/paramedic. He and his brother founded Gymnastics USA, Florida’s largest gymnastics center, and also run Stars and Stripes Management Systems, a digital marketing and website design company. Austin serves on multiple boards and charities, including Winter Garden Architectural Review and Historic Preservation Board, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Challenge 22 to End Veteran Suicide, Central Florida YMCA, West Orange Scholarship Foundation, Eight Waves Children and Family Services, and others.  Austin and his wife live in Winter Garden and have three young children.
