Nearly 500 Local Residents Attend Austin Arthur Rally for Orange County Commissioner

Austin Arthur held a campaign rally this Tuesday at the Lakeshore Center in Ocoee, Florida. The event hosted by Mayors of Winter Garden, Oakland, Ocoee, and Apopka including over a dozen sitting elected officials from the West Orange area.

The rally featured a historic 475 attendees. In a post on his social media Arthur stated, “A historic 475 residents attended our Campaign Rally this week. This is the largest campaign event for a commissioner candidate in Orange County history. Many backgrounds and viewpoints, but we all agree that we want a community-driven common sense Orange County, Florida!”
In attendance was a mixed group of residents, volunteers, and elected officials and former elected officials. Austin is running for a nonpartisan seat in Orange County and his attendees represented that as he explained from the podium during his speech, “in the room we have many Republicans and many Democrats because this race is not about the right wing or the left wing, its about the west wing, meaning West Orange County! We are focused on local issues, not the state and federal issues that divide us,”

Austin Arthur is an entrepreneur, an employer, community advocate, and a former firefighter/paramedic. He and his brother founded Gymnastics USA, Florida’s largest gymnastics center, and also run Stars and Stripes Marketing Services, a full-stack marketing firm. Austin serves on multiple boards and charities, including Winter Garden Architectural Review and Historic Preservation Board, West Orange Habitat for Humanity, Challenge 22 to End Veteran Suicide, Central Florida YMCA, West Orange Scholarship Foundation, Eight Waves Children and Family Services, Explore and Soar Children's Museum, and others. Austin and his wife live in Winter Garden and have three young children.
